Abstract
Tradicionalni ponudniki gostovanja uporabljajo za gostovanje storitev fizične strežnike ali navidezne stroje. Vsak strežnik upravlja z več storitvami, kar pomeni, da so vsi podatki shranjeni na istem mediju. To ni primeren pristop, če storitve obdelujejo tajne in občutljive podatke, kot so številke bančnih kartic in podobnih podatkov. Take storitve je treba izolirati na zasebnem strežniku, kar lahko pripelje do neučinkovitega izkoriščanja sistemskih sredstev, višjih stroškov vzdrževanja in nestandardiziranega ter kompleksnega procesa postavitve storitev. V diplomskem delu smo razvili prototip sistema ponudnika gostovanja vsebnikov na podlagi Kubernetesa, Dockerja in spletnih tehnologij. Sistem je modularen, komunicira s standardnimi Docker in Kubernetes komponentami in posledično tudi manj kompleksen za uporabo za končnega uporabnika. S pomočjo enostavnega in intuitivnega uporabniškega vmesnika je namestitev vsebnikov preprosta. Z Dockerjem je zagotovljen standardiziran proces postavitve storitev, s Kubernetesom pa skalabilnost, visoka razpoložljivost, neobčutljivost za okvare in izolacija vsebnikov, ki zagotovi varovanje tajnih in občutljivih podatkov ter nižje stroške vzdrževanja.

Title:Design and Implementation of a Mini Container Hosting Service Provider
Abstract:
Traditional hosting providers use physical servers or virtual machines to host services. Each server manages multiple services, which means that all data is stored on the same medium. This is not a suitable approach if the services handle sensitive and confidential data such as bank card numbers and similar data. Such services need to be isolated on a private server, which can lead to inefficient use of system resources, higher maintenance costs, non-standardized and complex service deployment processes. In this thesis we developed a prototype system for a container hosting provider based on Kubernetes, Docker and web technologies. The system is modular, communicates with standard Docker and Kubernetes components and is consequently less complex to use for the end user. With a simple and intuitive user interface, container deployment is straightforward. With Docker there is a standardised service deployment process and with Kubernetes there is scalability, high availability, fault tolerance and container isolation to ensure protection of classified and sensitive data and to reduce maintenance costs.
