The focus of my thesis was on polypropylene and how recycling processes affect its mechanical properties. For this purpose the emphasis in the first part of the thesis was on the classification, structure and morphology of polypropylene in addition to that, different recycling procedures and the mechanical properties that are important for finished products are described. In the final part the thesis is focused on the investigation, that have already been published in the literature. Two papers on how recycling affects directly or indirectly, respectively, the mechanical properties are therefore presented.
