Abstract
V diplomski nalogi se ukvarjam s problemom socialnih omrežij in njihovim vplivom na naše vsakdanje življenje, z medsebojnimi interakcijami in načini komunikacije. Socialni mediji so se izkazali za najmočnejše orodje, ki zaznamujejo življenja večine izmed nas, oblikujejo naše navade, izbire in družbene odnose. V diplomskem delu raziskujem, kako nas socialna omrežja delajo nesocialna, manj komunikativna in posledično manj produktivna bitja. Z uporabo metod, kot sta anketiranje in opazovanje, raziskujem, kako socialna omrežja vplivajo na posameznika in katere negativne posledice nam prinašajo. Rezultati so potrdili hipotezo in odprli nova vprašanja o negativnem vidiku socialnih platform, kako število sledilcev, »všečki«, pogostost objavljanja in primerjanje našega življenja z življenjem drugih vplivajo na našo samopodobo in duševno zdravje.

Title:How Social Media Makes Us Unsocial and Influences Our Lives
Abstract:
In this graduation paper, I am tackling the problem of social media and their impact on our everyday lifes, interactions between each other, the way we communicate. Social media has proven to be the most powerful tool pervading the lives of billions, shaping their habits, their choices and their social relations. My hypothesis about the negative impact using social media platforms in every day lifes was tested by the research using methods as survey and participant observation. Results confirmed the hypothesis and opened new questions about the negative aspect of social media platorms, how scrolling through others posts and comparing our life with other's impact our self-esteem and mental health.
