Ethics and ethical behavior are key components in the society in which we live. With the increasing globalization, the pursuit of ethical conduct is a great challenge for every individual. For this reason, the main challenge of the diploma thesis was to show whether individuals pursue similar ethical goals, adhere to the codes, or significantly differ in this regard. Ethics can be defined as the science of morality that explores the meaning and goals of moral norms, the basic criteria for moral evaluation, as well as the primary foundations and sources of morality. Ethics aids us in answering the question of how to act under ethical principles while also acting lawfully and socially acceptable. With the help of methodology, the goal of the diploma work was created. We used a descriptive approach, with whose help we described the key concepts in the diploma thesis. In addition to the descriptive approach, an analysis of certain codes was done using the method of analysis. Finally, a survey was conducted using the survey questionnaire method. 42 people of different ages and statuses participated in the survey. With the method of the questionnaire analysis, the proposed hypotheses in the diploma thesis were to be refuted or confirmed later in the writing process. In the analysis of the questionnaire, both hypotheses were refuted, as it was discovered that the level of education has no significant positive impact on the level of ethics. It was also discovered that the values of older employees do not differ significantly from the values of younger employees. From a practical point of view, in the diploma thesis, the emphasis is on the issue of ethical conduct and the general importance of ethics in wider society. The significance of constantly raising awareness of the importance of the ethical conduct of each individual in society is also emphasized. It depicts which values people pursue the most. This diploma thesis can be a good starting point for further research in the field of ethics. Based on the sample, a comparison was made between the public and private sectors, but it should be emphasized that the sample is somewhat biased as only employees from two companies participated in the survey.
