Telephysiotherapy can be an effective approach for long waiting lists and current pandemic situation. The purpose of this review was to indicate which telephysiotherapy interventions are available for treatment of patients with knee and hip impairments, its effectiveness and cost effectivness. Methods: A literature search was conducted in the PubMed with the following key words: telephysiotherapy, telerehabilitation, telecoaching and telemonitoring. Articles published by December 2020 were included. Results: 12 studies met the inclusion criteria. Interventions included physiotherapy by video calls and home exercise programs. Telephysiotherapy was as effective as standard physiotherapy in improving range of motion, pain, muscle strength, balance, gait and function but cheaper. Conclusion: Telephysiotherapy is an effective approach for treatment of patients with knee and hip impairments. This type of treatment consists mostly of therapeutic exercises and consultations.
