In my dissertation, I used comparative analysis, to describe and compare the nuclear capabilities of three countries: the United Kingdom, France, and the United States. In my research, I am interested in the impact of nuclear sciences on the development of a country's nuclear capabilities. I outlined what nuclear weapons actually are and described the early development of nuclear science. For each country, I described its history of nuclear weapons development, and described some of the individual nuclear warheads. For each country, I described its air-based , sea-based and land-based nuclear capabilities. For each country, I then described the current state of its nuclear science, in particular the development and existence of its experimental nuclear reactors. After the analysis, I figured that the United States has the most developed nuclear forces, and also has the most developed nuclear science and operates with the most experimental nuclear reactors. France has a more developed nuclear forces than the United Kingdom, regularly renews and updates its capabilities, and also has a more developed nuclear science overall.
