Zaključna seminarska naloga obravnava sliko sv. Elizabete, ki je delo Franca Mihaela Straussa, stoji pa na glavnem oltarju župnijske cerkve sv. Elizabete v Slovenj Gradcu. Slika iz leta 1732 velja za vrhunec v opusu Franca Mihaela Straussa, glavnega predstavnika ene vidnejših umetnostnih družin v Slovenj Gradcu in njegovi okolici. Navdih za upodobitev sv. Elizabete je Strauss našel tako v delih italijanskih kot tudi severnjaških slikarjev.

Abstract

The final seminar paper covers the painting of st. Elizabeth by Franz Michael Strauss, which stands on the main altar of the parish church of st. Elizabeth in Slovenj Gradec. The painting from 1732 is considered to be the culmination of the work of Franc Mihael Strauss, the main representative of one of the most prominent artistic families in Slovenj Gradec and its surroundings. Inspiration for the depiction of St. Elizabeth was found by Strauss in the works of both Italian and Northern painters.
