Abstract
Trta je kulturna rastlina, ki jo človek za namene prehrane in predelave goji že tisočletja. Stare, avtohtone vrste in sorte vinskih trt danes vse bolj izginjajo, zato je njihovo odkrivanje in opisovanje vedno bolj pomembno. V okviru magistrskega dela smo v treh slovenskih vinorodnih deželah, tj. Primorska, Podravje in Posavje, v lokalnih vinogradih in kolekcijskih nasadih poiskali neznane genske vire ter standardne sorte iz rodu Vitis sp. S predpisanimi O.I.V. deskriptorji smo v ustreznih fenoloških fazah skupno ovrednotili 33 genskih virov. Obsežna fenotipizacija je zajemala vrednotenje 108 O.I.V. deskriptorjev na vsakem genskem viru. Morfološke in morfometrične lastnosti smo ocenili/izmerili z 82 opisnimi in 11 numeričnimi O.I.V. deskriptorji.

Title:Phenotypic and genetic characterization of selected genetic resources from the genus Vitis spp.
Abstract:
Grapevine is a cultivated plant that has been grown for millennia for consumption and processing. Old, indigenous species and varieties of grapevines are recently progressively disappearing, therefore the importance of their discovery and description is becoming paramount. As a part of the master's thesis, we have evaluated unknown genetic resources and standard varieties from the genus Vitis sp. which can be found in the three Slovenian wine-growing regions, i.e. Primorska, Podravje and Posavje, in local vineyards and collection plantations. Using predefined O.I.V. descriptors a total of 33 genetic resources at the relevant phenological stage were evaluated. Extensive phenotyping comprised the evaluation of 108 O.I.V. descriptors for each genetic resource. Morphological and morphometric properties were assessed/measured using 83 descriptive and 11 numerical O.I.V. descriptors. Besides, we performed measurements on fully developed leaves using the SuperAmpelo programme and obtained data for 15 phylometric O.I.V. descriptors. There were noticeable differences in the phenotypes of genetic resources which do not belong to the species Vitis vinifera L., while for some morphological traits the variability between genetic resources of the same species was observed. The preliminary genetic relation analysis of studied genetic resources was performed using 12 SSR markers. Selected genetic resources from the genus Vitis sp. were characterised for the first time based on the obtained data and variability at phenotypic and genetic levels was identified.
