Ocenjevanje omišičenosti ovnov z merjenjem globine dolge hrbtne mišice z ultrazvokom

Namen magistrskega dela je bil izmeriti globino dolge hrbtne mišice pri ovnih ob koncu direktnega testa s pomočjo ultrazvoka in preučiti kateri vplivi značilno vplivajo na njeno globino pri ovnih jezersko-solčavske pasme in oplemenjene jezersko-solčavske pasme. V poskus smo vključili 274 ovnov. Povprečna vrednost za globino dolge hrbtne mišice je znašala 2,23 cm. Najmanjša izmerjena globina dolge hrbtne mišice je bila 1,25 cm, največja pa 2,81 cm. Ugotovili smo, da so na globino dolge hrbtne mišice statistično značilno vplivali kombinirani vpliv med pasmo in testno postajo, izvorni trop in starost ovna. Zaporedna jagnjitev in velikost gnezda pri materi nista imeli statistično značilnega vpliva na globino dolge hrbtne mišice pri ovnih. Z analizo variance smo ugotovili, da je bila največja globina dolge hrbtne mišice pri ovnih oplemenjene jezersko-solčavske pasme na testni postaji Logatec (LSM ± SE = 2,36 ± 0,09 cm), sledili so ovni jezersko-solčavske pasme na testni postaji Logatec (LSM ± SE = 2,22 ± 0,05 cm), najmanjša pa je bila pri ovnih jezersko-solčavske pasme na testni postaji Jezersko (LSM ± SE =1,90 ± 0,08 cm). Globina dolge hrbtne mišice se je s starostjo rahlo povečevala. Statistično značilne korelacije so bile med globino dolge hrbtne mišice in telesno maso (0,61), globino dolge hrbtne mišice in oceno omišičenosti stegna (0,37) ter med globino dolge hrbtne in oceno omišičenosti hrbta (0,42).

• Title: The muscle scoring on rams with measuring the eye muscle depth with ultrasound

Abstract

The aim of the master's thesis was to measure the depth of the eye muscle in rams at the end of the performance test with ultrasound device and to investigate what significantly affects the depth of the eye muscle in the Jezersko-Solčava and Improved Jezersko -Solčava breeds. We included 274 rams in the study. The mean value for eye muscle depth was 2.23 cm. The minimum measured eye muscle depth was 1.25 cm and the maximum was 2.81 cm. We found that eye muscle depth was significantly affected by the combined effect of breed and test station, flock of origin and ram age. Parity and litter size had no effect on the eye muscle depth. Using analysis of variance, we concluded that the largest depth of eye muscle was present in rams of the Improved Jezersko -Solčava breed at the Logatec test station (LSM ± SE = 2.36 ± 0.09 cm), followed by the rams of the Jezersko-Solčava breed at the Logatec test station (LSM ± SE = 2.22 ± 0.05 cm) and the least depth was present in the rams of the Jezersko-Solčava breed at the Jezersko test station (LSM ± SE = 1.90 ± 0.08 cm). The eye muscle depth slightly increases with the ram age. Significant correlations were found between eye muscle depth and body weight (0.61), eye muscle depth and hindquarter muscle score (0.37) and eye muscle depth and back muscle score (0.42).
