Through origami our memory is trained, therefore its use is very important. Children train their memory with memorisation of steps taken in the process of making the origami form (Nimschowski, 2003).In the theoretical part of this dissertation titled Origami and Memory Enhancement in Preschool Children, I introduce the origin of origami, what it even is, what kind of paper is best to use when making origami, and what the benefits of origami-making are. In this research paper, I investigate how long it takes for preschool children to memorise the process of making an origami form and whether origami influences children’s memory.I research after what amount of time children remember the process of making the origami form in the empirical part through the usage of origami related activities conducted with preschoolers. I researched if, for the memorisation, a week or a month would suffice. The research shows that some children remember the whole process of making origami after a week. Some of those children remember the process after one week as well, while the remainder forgot only a few steps. Some children didn’t remember the process even after a month or remembered only a few steps.
