All cities and towns face up with consequences from urban heat island ( UHI), but UHI effects are much stronger in gib cities with higher densety of buildings and people, more traffic and are made from materials with higher energetic translation. Negative consequence from the UHI are higher in hot and dry climates than in warm and humid climates. Affects of UHI can be seen at radiation type of climate with no cloud nights. All temperature measures which were used in this final seminar paper, were done in winter time 2020 and spring time 2021. Measures took time in early night time after sunset and the late night time just before sunset. With bicycles and thermometer temperature was measured at 35 different locations in Šiška and surrounding areas. With the help of ArcGis software I created cartographic materials and graphic presentations of temperature changing in space. Areas with higher average temperature are located in the center of Ljubljana and along main streets, and when moving away from them we can spot a decrease in temperature for more then 1 °C. The main micro-location elements that affect on temperature inside the city are: buildings height, ratio between urban and un-urban areas, land type usage and presence of green and blue surfaces.
