We spend about one-third of our lives at work, so it is important to do something that makes us happy. A chief happiness officer is someone who guides us so that we are not only satisfied with in our workplace, but that we are really happy. Some say it is the profession of the future, yet others argue it is just a new name for a human resources management. How did the profession intertwine? Will the chief happiness officer, which is a relatively new concept in the market, soon become a global trend? We do not know this, but we know that more and more organizations, including in Slovenia, are focusing on their employees and caring for them, and that it is no longer just the results that matter. The empirical part presents who is the chief happiness officer, what his role is and how employees in one of the Slovenian companies see the role of their chief happiness officer in connection with their happiness at work. Happiness starts with ourselves, but it is also important at the team and organization level that we can talk about happiness in the workplace.
