Abstract
V diplomski nalogi sem povezala likovno teorijo, se pravi osnovne elemente in kiparske oblike starih civilizacij in kiparstvo modernizma, katero je črpalo svoje ideje ravno od nje – neevropske stare kulture. Izpostavila sem tri moderniste: Constantina Brancusija, Henryja Moora in Barbaro Hepworth in primerjala nekaj njihovih del z kiparskimi deli starih civilizacij. V likovno teoretičnem delu sem na kratko opisala nekaj zgodovine in oblikovnih značilnosti različnih neevropskih starih civilizacij in potegnila vzporednice z kiparstvom modernizma in omenjenimi predstavniki.

Title:Division and articulation from abstract form to figurative form
Abstract:
In my dissertation, I connected the art theory of basic elements and sculptural forms of ancient civilizations with the sculpture of modernism, which drew its ideas precisely from it - non-European ancient culture. I singled out three modernists: Constantin Brancusi, Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth, comparing some of their works with the sculptural works of ancient civilizations. Through my interpretation of sketches and drawings, I formed five forms of embryo from siporex. I placed forms, which start from a simple abstract form to a figural one, in different environments and finally recorded them in the form of a photograph. I compared design features of ancient civilizations with the sculptural works of the above mentioned sculptors, looking for similarities and differences and in the end comparing them with my own work. I connected the theory and the practical part and addressed it from two angles: art theory and art practice. In the theoretical part, I briefly described some of the history and design features of various non-European ancient civilizations and drew parallels with the sculpture of modernism and the aforementioned sculptors. In the practical part, I tried to present the development of the abstract form to the figural form, using siporex forms and placing them in different environments. In conclusion I interpreted my own work and I compared it with the sculpture of ancient civilizations and sculptors of the modern era - Brancusi, Moore and Hepworth, from whom I also drew my inspiration.
