This diploma thesis discusses properties, history, culinary, and local speech of a part in municipality Loški Potok, which belongs to the dialect of the Dolenjska region, in particular in villages Hrib, Mali Log, Retje, Srednja vas, Šegova vas and Travnik. Based on the pre recorded material of two informants from the villages Retje and Šegova vas, a dictionary was made as one of the topics in the interactive online Loškopotoški slovar (in preparation), which is an upgrade of Slovar starega orodja v govoru Loškega Potoka. It mainly focuses on the dishes typical for this area, and verbs which are used in food preparation. Finally, there is an analysis of lexical and word-forming peculiarities in the collected material.
