Abstract
V diplomskem delu so izpostavljeni ukrepi, ki so bili zaradi zmanjševanja možnosti prenosa okužbe sprejeti v porodnišnicah.

Title:Experiencing Childbirth During the COVID-19 Pandemic
Abstract:
This bachelor’s thesis concerns the experience of childbirth in Slovenia as well as abroad during the COVID-19 pandemic. Considering the topic from an anthropological perspective, its focus is on the preventative measures implemented in an attempt to halt the rate of infection in maternity wards, notably the restrictions placed on birth attendants. Regarding these measures, the text also deliberates on the phenomenon of medicalization in maternity wards as well as the means by which these are exhibited during times of pandemic. The question of various medical professionals and their role during pregnancy, specifically which are able to provide adequate care in relation to the woman’s psychophysical condition and work in her best interest, is also considered.
