Abstract
Razlike v vrednosti med kakovostnimi razredi iste drevesne vrste naraščajo progresivno z naraščanjem prsnega premera in z višanjem tarifnega razreda volumenskih tarif.

Title:Tariffs for tree value estimation for selected tree species in Slovenia
Abstract:
Tariffs for tree value estimation represent curves of increasing value of a tree of a certain tree species and quality with the increase of its diameter at breast height (dbh). Based on a hypothetical assortment structure by quality classes, the tariffs were made for six native tree species (European silver fir, Norway spruce, Scots pine, European beech, sycamore maple, pedunculate/sessile oak) and applied to selected volume tariff's classes. The assortment structure of trees was determined on the basis of calculated tree heights and dbh, complying with the legal requirements for dimensions of assortments. Tariffs for tree value estimation were compared by tree species and selected volume tariff's classes. It was determined that tree species and the volume tariff's class have a significant influence on the value of a tree. The volume of assortments in a tree increases with the higher volume tariff's class, which consequently increases the value of a tree. Tariffs for tree value estimation can differ a lot between tree species, which is explained by the differences in value of timber on the market. Comparing the values of the average quality trees, broadleaves showed higher values than conifers. Our results showed that among the analyzed tree species, oak reaches the highest values while Scots pine the lowest. The differences in values among the quality classes of the same tree species increase progressively with an increase of dbh and an increase of the volume tariff's class.
