The diploma explores the trend of homegrown spices, the exact conditions under which these spices can thrive, while also examining the already existing solutions currently on the market. More and more individuals are starting to cultivate spices at home, and the trend has proven especially popular amongst younger adults, most of who live in urban areas, especially flats. The existing solutions on the market are differentiated by price, size and the complexity of the system of cultivation. While some solutions are technologically sound, they are also bulky and, in most cases, fixated on a specific area (usually by a window). I have created a product, which is technologically and visually perfected for the cultivation of spices at home. I focused on the visual aspect as well as on the modularity of the final product.
