The diploma thesis is related to the topic of designing children's furniture for furnishing children's rooms and their environment. It is based on the concept of modularity and multi-functionality usage of the product, which with its changing design adapts to the user and the space in which it is placed. The product is intended for children aged 1-10, as it grows with the user and accompanies them over several life stages. The conceptual solution offers the child a safe period of growing up and a childhood full of learning.
In the first, research – analysis based part, I meet with the theoretical aspect of furniture, the definition of modular systems and the module itself, and with the user and ergonomic analysis. In the following part, I present the course of the task through the conceptual phase, from setting the design starting points to formulating the final concept. The last part of my thesis serves to a more detailed description of the final solution and with the help of visualizations presents the product for different purposes.
