Enrollment at the Faculties has been declining in recent years, and the drastic
decline can be seen in the numbers at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design.
Enrollment is also decreasing by students of the Secondary School of Design and
Photography in Ljubljana. We were interested in why the mentioned students do
not decide to study at the Academy after completing the final exam, but continue
their studies either at another member or at the end of high school. Since we also
come from the High School of Design and Photography, we set the hypotheses
based on our own experience, and through research and analysis we came to
confirm these and consequently to new, final answers to the questions. We have
noticed that through the generations fewer and fewer students decide to
continue their studies at the Academy, and the key reason for this is that they
believe that they will not learn anything new in their further educational path.
Through the practical part, we thought about solutions to this problem and tried
to prepare a plan for the implementation of measures to increase enrollment at
the Academy. We articulate our solutions in the form of a service blueprint, and
we tried to develop the two segments in more detail and prepare them for
immediate implementation.
