Abstract
Za diplomsko delo sem izdelala interaktivno knjigo, v kateri sem zbrala pet zgodb o Sherlocku Holmesu pisatelja Arthurja Conana Doyla. V teoretičnem delu sem več povedala o avtorju in zgodbah, ki sem jih vključila v knjigo. Opisala sem knjigo, zgodovino in postopek oblikovanja knjige ter interaktivne knjige. Raziskovala sem tudi zgodovino grafičnega oblikovanja, natančneje obdobje 19. stoletja v viktorijanski Angliji, okoliščine, ki so vplivale na razvoj oblikovanja takrat, tehnologije in slog oziroma izgled oblikovanja. Pri praktičnem delu sem v zgodbah poiskala grafične izdelke, kot so vozovnice, časopisni članki in pisma, s katerimi liki rokujejo. Te izdelke sem nato oblikovala po zgledu oblikovanja konec 19. stoletja, v knjigo pa sem jih vstavila kot ilustracije ali interaktivne elemente. Zgodbo vizualno poudarijo in bralcu pomagajo prikazati okolje in čas, v katerem se zgodbe odvijajo.

Title:Designing an interactive book of Sherlock Holmes stories
Abstract:
For my thesis, I created an interactive book in which I collected five Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle. In the theoretical part, I told more about the author and the stories I included in the book. I described the book, history and process of designing the book and the interactive book. I also researched the history of graphic design, specifically the 19th century in Victorian England. The circumstances that influenced the development of design at the time, the technologies and the style or look of design. In the practical work, I looked for graphic products in the stories, such as tickets, newspaper articles and letters that the characters handle. I then modelled these products on late 19th century design and inserted them into the book as illustrations or interactive elements. These visually emphasise the story and help the reader to see the setting and the time in which the stories take place.
