As part of the final bachelor thesis, we investigated the influence of process parameters in laser engraving of titanium alloy Ti-6Al-4V. We investigated the influence of engraving speed, frequency and electric current of the laser source. With the help of applicable software we first defined the surface geometry of the sample and the geometry of the eight parallel lines. Next, process parameters of laser engraving were defined. We only changed a certain parameter for each of the three samples, and the others were constant. After the laser engraving was carried out, the samples were observed with a digital optical microscope and the influence of laser engraving on the changes on the engraving surface was investigated. We found that the process parameters strongly influence the appearance and geometry of the engraved pattern on the titanium alloy. As the engraving speed increased, the distance between the craters created by the laser beam increased too. We also found that as the pulse frequency increases, the distance between the craters decreases, as does their diameter and surface roughness. As the process parameter of the electric current increased, the diameter of the craters increased and the distance between them decreased.
