Abstract
V sklopu dela je bila predstavljena uporaba recikliranega polimernega kompozita, ki naj bi nadomestil deviški material. Postavljena so bila vprašanja in dvomi o zadostni kakovosti materiala za nadomestitev deviškega materiala kot plastično izolacijo pri statorskem sklopu elektromotorja. Predstavljena je bila teorija tovrstnega polimera v splošnem in tehnologija procesa, s katero material obdelujemo. Cilj dela je bila primerjava deviškega materiala in regenerata ter ugotoviti smiselnost implementiranja regenerata v izdelek. Problem smo razčlenili na popis materialnih lastnosti polimera v splošnem ter na popis metode recikliranja in njenega vpliva na materialne lastnosti regenerata. Teoretične ugotovitve so bile potrjene s praktičnim preizkusom natezne trdnosti. S praktičnim preizkusom so bile potrjene ugotovitve iz teoretičnega dela. Ugotovljeno je bilo, da regenerat ne bi ustrezal za zamenjavo devičnika za obravnavano aplikacijo.

Title:Comparison of glass fibre reinforced virgin and recycled polymer
Abstract:
In this study, the usage of recycled polymer composite was presented which would replace a virgin material. Questions and doubts were raised about the sufficient quality of polymer that would replace virgin material as a plastic insulator in the stator assembly of electromotor. A theoretical study about the general class of polymer was presented and with what kind of technology this material is processed for this application. The objective of this study was the comparison of virgin and recycled material and to determine if it is worthy to implement the recyclate in the product. In the first part of the study, the material characteristics were described, In the second part of the work we focused on the description of polymer mechanical recycling and its influence on the mechanical characteristics of recyclate. Theoretical studies were validated by testing of the product’s tensile strength. With the practical test, statements of the theoretical part of the work were confirmed. With the results, it was concluded that the recyclate would not satisfy the requirements of the discussed application as a replacement to the virgin material.
