This work discusses the theoretical foundations and principles of CO2 snow cleaning. Thermodynamic properties, cleaning mechanisms, equipment components, process parameters and applications are presented. In this work, we analyzed the operation of the nozzle, which is a key component of the process. In the NX-12 program, we made a 3D model of the nozzle, which we printed with a 3D printer and tested. We compared the results of the nozzle operation at different values of CO2 and air flow. We found out at which input parameters the nozzle works best, and explained how its performance could be improved.
