The task in the scope of the diploma thesis was to develop an application with the purpose of helping students choose the place of study. Prospective students have usually already decided, what they want to study. However, an important question appears, namely, which university to choose and where. The web application, which is the result of this diploma work, tries to help with answering this and many other questions. Besides the quality of the university, students also wonder about the quality of life within the city, where they would study as well as other students’ experiences, advantages of studying at particular university etc. The web application’s goal is to enable a systematic access to all the information students need to know in one place. For this reason a large amount of effort has been put into providing sensible order and accessible overview of this data. The diploma’s result is an application that enables students access to relevant information, that helps with choice of university.
