In the last year, we have faced an epidemic and have had to deal with challenges that have greatly affected the mental health of the individual. At the time of the epidemic especially adolescents were at turning points in life, when they begin to wonder how satisfied they are with their way of life, how much of themselves they can express, and in what way. In my graduation thesis, I focus on the adolescent’s experience of the Covid-19 epidemic and the mental health problems they experienced during the epidemic. In the theoretical part, I first focus on the definition of mental health and define the period of adolescence. I open the topic of the impact of the social environment of adolescents on mental health. Within this subject, I define the role of family, peers, school, media and social networks, and the role of poverty. Further on I describe some of the most common mental health problems that characterize adolescence. I conclude the theoretical introduction with the connection between mental health and the Covid-19 epidemic. The graduation thesis consists of quantitative and qualitative part of the research. In the empirical part of the quantitative research, I got acquainted with the general experience and confrontation of adolescents with the epidemic. The qualitative research revealed the connection between the social environment and the adolescent's experiences when dealing with the epidemic.
