The Internet is an amazing tool that maintains new trends and technological advances each day. And here it seems that one of the greatest achievements of the Internet are undoubtedly social networking sites, which are a real blessing for today’s generation. The name itself suggests that these are places that bring together different communities of individuals. They are platforms used to establish and maintain a connection with other people whenever we desire to do so. Social sites like Twitter, Facebook and Imgur undoubtedly benefit all areas of life, be it for students, children or retirees. The central theme focuses on an analysis of a network of tags taken from the Imgur website. Using a program called Pajek, which is used to analyze social networks, I will analyze the network of tags in order to discover the most popular content on the Imgur website. In the analysis I will focus on several types of network data, such as the identification of the most important units in the network, the most densely connected groups of tags and measures of centralization.
