In the diploma thesis, measuring methods for regulation of the applied quantity of
phytopharmaceutical products were studied. Vine leaf surface was measured using a laser
scanning system. For relevant measurements with the laser scanner, its angle of
inclination in three-dimensional space should be known. Measured angle of inclination
by the inertial sensor, allows regulation of inclination of the laser scanning system and
nozzles on a tractor sprayer.
The angle of inclination measured by the inertial sensor was studied while spraying in the
vineyard. The sensor was connected through the micro-controller with a laser scanning
system. Measurements of the leaf surface and angle of inclination were sampled
simultaneously. Gathered data was analyzed and we were able to determine the influence
of the angle of inclination on the measurement of the leaf surface in a vineyard. We
concluded that the system featuring the laser scanner for the regulated operation of
spraying nozzles could save up to 17% of the phytopharmaceutical products.
