Abstract

Title:Power-to-X technologies
Abstract:
The problem under consideration is the storage and conversion of energy into chemical entities capable of transport. Namely, we do not know how to produce energy »in stock« and we make it when it is needed. The problem we face is climate change, which is accelerated by the release of flue gases into the atmosphere and the rise in average temperature. Carbon neutrality can be achieved trough high investments and the construction of new infrastructures for energy generation. To this end, PTX technologies are of crucial importance and represent a solution in this area. Numerous studies are needed to improve efficiencies and cost analysis in the field of water electrolysis, CO2 capture and gas conversion to X products. In this paper I present many PTX routes, their e-fuel products and highlight the importance of the transition from the use of fossil fuels to renewable energy sources.
