Abstract
Kakovost vode je ključnega pomena za zdravje ljudi, gospodarski razvoj in trajnostne ekološke procese. Konvencionalne tehnologije za čiščenje vode zaradi večih omejitev ne izpopolnjujejo visokih pričakovanj, zato je za trajnostno prihodnost pomemben razvoj alternativnih tehnologij. Z integracijo koristnih lastnosti tako nanomaterialov kot polimerov, so polimerni nanokompoziti na tem področji pritegnili ogromno pozormosti, in sicer zaradi svojih edinstvenih lastnosti, kot so veliko razmerje med njihovo površino in prostornino, mehanska trdnost, sposobnost tvorbe filma, toplotna stabilnost, kemična odpornost in nizki stroški priprave. Polimerni nanokompoziti se pri odstanjevanju polutantov iz onesnaženih vod uporabljajo kot katalizatorji in adsorbenti. Učinkoviti so pri odstanjevanju ionov težkih kovin, barvil, olj in maščob, mikroorganizmov, itd.

Title:Use of polymeric materials in the treatment of polluted water
Abstract:
Water quality is crucial for human health, economic development and sustainable ecological processes. Due to greater constraints, conventional water treatment technologies do not meet high expectations, so the development of alternative technologies is important for a sustainable future. By integrating the beneficial properties of both nanomaterials and polymers, polymer nanocomposites have attracted enormous attention in this field due to their unique properties such as high surface-to-volume ratio, mechanical strength, film-forming ability, thermal stability, chemical resistance and low production costs. Polymer nanocomposites are used as catalysts and adsorbents in the removal of pollutants from polluted waters. They are effective in removing heavy metal ions, dyes, oils and fats, microorganisms, etc.
