The thesis presents the process of designing the packaging and label for kraft beer. The aim was to create a simple packaging that can be assembled in a simple way and still be functional. It was important to us that the packaging and the label should stand out visually in the market and thus attract positive attention.
In the theoretical part we describe packaging, its uses and functionality as well as packaging materials. The theoretical properties of the label and explored the necessary legislative information that must be written on labels and packaging has been described. At the printing methods are also described.
The experimental part describes the material selection process, the description of the different working methods, the printing technique and the cutting of the material. The factors that are important for the design such as the choice of colours, typography and additional graphic elements have been determined. By determining these factors and elements, we were able to design the graphic image and thus obtain the final image.
The result of the thesis is a label and packaging for kraft beer, ready for the retail market.
