In my master’s thesis, I researched a file of deceased in Italian concentration camps. The file contained mostly death announcements of people who died in concentration camps and some were also addressed to people who fell on Slovenian ground. Within the file there was also a small number of birth announcements. I analyzed all the announcements to obtain statistics on the number and gender of the deceased, their age, place of birth, to which camp they were taken and where they were buried. I also described in detail all six camps that were intended for Slovenes during the Second World War. I also outlined the general events during the Second World War and the attitude of the Italian occupier towards the Slovene population.
