This M. A. thesis focuses on teaching pronunciation, as this area of teaching foreign language has been and still is set aside, which is due to too much emphasis on teaching grammar and vocabulary. Firstly, the thesis focuses on the differences that exist between the Slovene and Spanish phonetic - phonological systems and other characteristics of the Slovene language that significantly hinder acquisition of Spanish pronunciation with the aim to overcome dificulties in the process of acquisition of Spanish pronunciation. The following chapters describe the concept of pronunciation, its components, its importance in the process of teaching a foreign language and its uneven presence in the field of teaching European Spanish as a foreign language. Moreover, the thesis defines the importance of teaching pronunciation through the oral expression, and presents the music as a motivational tool and a potential didactic instrument for teaching Spanish pronunciation in an interesting way. The empiric part consists of some didactic activities for teaching Spanish pronunciation through Spanish songs.
