To perform daily chores, we usually make use of automated systems such as washing machines, dryers and dishwashers. With such systems we can save a lot of time, resources and money. To develop an automated system, engineers can spend quite a lot of time researching and constructing the system so that people would be willing to buy and use. The thesis focuses on the development of a robotic vacuum cleaner based on the Arduino platform, as this platform is very affordable and suitable for such a system, where high accuracy is not required. We used a 3D printer to manufacture the housing. After the production of the housing and programming the robot itself, a test was performed. The results were compared with the existing one. Our robot vacuum cleaner successfully performs the assigned tasks. It turned out that we could introduce some improvements for further work.
