In the first part of the diploma thesis, I presented the basic terms used to name people with disabilities and the social protection system in the field of people with disabilities. I discussed the concept of independent living covered by the Personal Assistance Act. I presented the Personal Assistance Act and continued the thesis with a description of the method of personal planning and implementation of services.
In the empirical part of the thesis, I was interested in how the personal assistance service is useful for its users. I found this out through the narration of personal assistance users. Three female and two male of personal assistance participated.
