Physical inactivity and a sedentary lifestyle are becoming a growing problem of the society nowadays. Muscle imbalance and poor posture cause numerous problems and back pain. To avoid these problems, we need to take care of regular and proper exercise. The purpose of the master's thesis was to present a set of exercises with different body postures and adjust them on a reformer. The exercises in each workout have to be adapted according to each individual’s needs. Knowing the compensatory or wrong patterns of movement is very important. In everyday life, a man moves in his own pattern, which contains various compensations and movement dysfunctions. Related to these compensations, leading to an increased risk for degenerative changes and injuries. As experts in the area of movement, kinesiologists and other sports workers play an important role in identifying the wrong patterns of human movement and thus contribute to the improvement of the quality of life. Due to the importance of adapting the exercises to an individual with a different posture, an exercise program will be created, containing different versions of basic Pilates exercises and transferred to a Pilates trainer called "reformer". The advantage of the reformer is that it has springs of different difficulty, with which we regulate the resistance and thus make the exercises easier or more difficult, according to the wishes of the individual. The presentation of a program of selected Pilates exercises on a trainer called reformer, under the expert guidance of a kinesiologist, will contribute to its usefulness in sports practice, rehabilitation programs and throughout the recreational population. This master's thesis contributes to the development and recognition of the reformer workout in Slovenia.
