Abstract

Language:English
Abstract:
This article presents comparative research on the use of gender-(in)sensitive language in Serbia and Slovenia in naming professions. Slovenian is a language that officially uses derived feminine forms, whereas in Serbian masculine forms for certain professions are also used for women, which is demonstrated through a comparison of official documents on language use. A survey shows that there are significant differences between secondary school students in Slovenia and in Serbia regarding the use of feminine forms.
