The paper presents the way in which the cultural mediation of Zofka Kveder developed. It explains the cultural spaces in which she worked and how she made personal contact within them. Zofka Kveder focused on a number of different directions, for in the places she moved to she promoted Slovene culture and she also informed the Slovene cultural space about the achievements of foreign artists. She was also a mediator of ideas: feminist, Yugoslav, and the idea of the cohabitation and mutual respect of different cultures. Her translational and journalistic oeuvre is very rich and hitherto scarcely studied, which opens up opportunities for new research.
