This contribution deals with the concept of inter-subjectivity, which in a specific case means that members of a literary research community develop comparative or common explanations and descriptions of literary phenomena. Among the key conditions for guaranteeing inter-subjective provability of results are the formation of common or suitable concepts relating to the subject area that covers the question of methodology, and the suitability and accessibility of research material, on the basis of which it is possible to ensure supra-individual explanations and descriptions of phenomena, which acquire the status of objective academic explanations.
