Abstract
Baterija je naprava, ki pretvarja kemično energijo v električno. Tvori jo več elektrokemijskih celic, ki omogočajo pretok električnega toka in delovanje raznih naprav. Od odkritja dalje so bile deležne številnih izboljšav, vseeno pa se razvoj še nadaljuje. Diplomska naloga vključuje poglavja o zgodovini baterij, njihovih lastnostih, vplivih dejavnikov na zmogljivost, razdelitev v skupine, medsebojno primerjavo, njihovo uporabo v avtomobilizmu in na koncu besedo varnosti in ekologiji.

Title:Batteries
Abstract:
Battery is a device that transforms chemical energy into electrical. It consists of multiple electrochemical cells which allow the flow of electrical current and functioning of various devices. Since their discovery they have been subject to many improvements, nevertheless, the advancements are still ongoing. Diploma includes chapters about history of batteries, their properties, effect of various factors on their capabilities, sorting into groups, comparison, use in automotive industry and at the end a word about safety and ecology.
