Kinematics is a branch of mechanics that deals with the motion of bodies or systems without analyzing the causes of motion. Systems studied by kinematics are called mechanisms. This also includes the lever mechanism, which is one of the most common transformers of motion, and at the same time a great example for explaining kinematic variables. For this purpose, we made a device with all the necessary drive and sensory elements, needed to measure the kinematic sizes of the lever mechanism. We started from a pre made lever mechanism and adjusted it to our goals. We added a microcomputer with touch screen, to display the measurements and control the stepper motor, which we used as an actuator for the lever mechanism. Control and display are performed using a graphical interface created using the Python programming language. The measured values of our devices were appropriately evaluated and finally compared with theoretical values.
