Abstract
Magistrsko delo temelji na raziskovanju področja slikanic in izraznih zmožnostih, ki jih omogoča črta v črtni risbi. Delo je razdeljeno na tri dele: teoretični del, likovno praktični del in empirični del. V prvem delu so predstavljeni zgodovinsko pomembni avtorji, ki so postavili pomembne mejnike na področju slikanic. Prav tako je predstavljen potek razvoja slikanice na slovenskem. Opredelili smo pojem slikanice in opisali njene osnovne oblikovne elemente, poleg teh smo predstavili vlogo, ki jo imajo likovni elementi v ilustraciji slikanic. Glede na to, da je slikanica posebna oblika otroške literature, pri kateri besedilo spremljajo ilustracije, nas je zanimalo, kakšna je vloga slikanice v vizualni pismenosti otroka in v njegovem razvoju. V posebnem poglavju se ukvarjamo z opredelitvijo posebne oblike slikanice, ki ne vsebuje besedila, poimenujemo jo lahko tudi z izrazom tiha knjiga. Pri navadnih slikanicah poteka dvojna komunikacija, torej vizualna, ki jo predstavlja ilustracija, in verbalna, katero definira besedilo. V tihih knjigah je vzpostavljena zgolj vizualna komunikacija, ki jo sestavljajo ilustracije, ravno iz tega razloga ima tiha knjiga poseben pomen. Tihe knjige so se pojavile v 20. stoletju, danes so že popolnoma integrirane v otroški literarni svet. Med obstoječimi slikanicami prevladujejo ilustracije, ki se razlikujejo glede na likovni motiv, likovno tehniko, uporabo likovnih elementov itd. Likovna barva je poglavitnega pomena zlasti pri ilustracijah, v magistrski nalogi se osredotočamo na likovni prvini: črto in črtno risbo. Na podlagi teoretičnih izhodišč o slikanicah, liniji in risbi smo raziskovali izrazne zmožnosti, ki jih omogoča črta in črtna risba v svojih najbolj osnovnih pomenih in oblikah. Zato smo v teoretičnem delu natančneje tudi opredeli pojem abstrahiranja in abstraktno umetnost. Raziskovanje je potekalo v likovno-praktičnem delu, kjer je bilo ustvarjenih šest ilustracij, naslovnica, vezni list in notranja naslovnica za avtorsko slikanico brez besedila z naslovom Kaj vidim. Ilustracije temeljijo na črtni risbi, ki je neposredno povezana s pojmom abstrahiranja. Primarne izrazne zmožnosti linije so ustvarjene in prikazane tudi s pomočjo procesa abstrahiranja motivov. Ilustracije so formalno analizirane, s čimer smo pridobili celovitejši pregled nad vizualno prepričljivostjo slikanice. V tretjem empiričnem delu predstavljamo kvalitativno raziskavo, temelječo na deskriptivnemu načinu raziskovanja. V učnem načrtu za likovno umetnost osnovnih šol piše, da učenci šestega razreda pri oblikovanju na ploskvi spoznajo tudi proces abstrahiranja. S šestošolci je bila izvedena učna ura, kjer so dobili nalogo, da abstrahirajo motiv v črtni risbi. Njihova likovna dela so formalno analizirana predvsem glede na uporabo črte v črtni risbi in razumevanja procesa abstrahiranja motiva, saj je bil namen in cilj ugotoviti, na kakšen način učenci razumejo in izvedejo proces abstrahiranja določenega motiva.

Title:The use of line drawing in picturebook
Abstract:
The master's thesis is based on research of the field of picture books and the expressive abilities provided by drawing in line drawing. The work is divided into three parts: the theoretical part, the art-practical part and the empirical part. The first part presents historically important authors who have set important milestones in the field of picture books. The course of the development of the picture book in Slovenia is also presented. We defined the concept of a picture book and described its basic design elements, and in addition to these, we presented what role art elements play in the illustration of picture books. Given that the picture book is a special form of children's literature in which the text is accompanied by illustrations, we were interested in the role of the picture book in the visual literacy of the child and in its development. One part is devoted to the definition of a special form of picture book, which is a picture book without text, which is also called a silent book. In ordinary picture books, there is a double communication, that is visual, represented by illustration, and verbal, represented by text. In silent books, only the visual communication established by the illustrations is present, so here the artistic role is all the more emphasized and important. Silent books appeared in the 20th century, and today they are already fully integrated into the children’s literary world. Among the existing picture books, illustrations predominate, which differ in terms of artistic motif, artistic technique, use of artistic elements, etc. The artistic element color is most often essential in these illustrations and plays a major role, and in this master's thesis the emphasis is on the artistic element line and line drawing. On the basis of theoretical starting points about picture books, lines and drawings, we researched the expressive abilities provided by a line or a line drawing in its most basic meanings and forms. This research was carried out more thoroughly in the art-practical part, where six illustrations were created, a cover, a binding sheet and an inner cover for an author's picture book without text entitled What I See. The illustrations are based on a line drawing, which is directly related to the concept of abstraction, as the theoretical part also presents abstract art and abstraction. The primary expressive abilities of the line were also created and displayed through the process of abstracting motifs. The illustrations are formally analyzed, giving us a more comprehensive overview of the visual persuasiveness of the picture book. In the third, empirical, part, we present a qualitative research based on a descriptive method of research. The curriculum for fine arts in primary school states that sixth-graders also learn about the process of abstraction. A lesson was conducted with sixth-graders, where the task was to abstract the motif in a line drawing. Their art works are formally analyzed mainly with regard to the use of line in line drawing and understanding the process of abstracting a motif, as the purpose and goal was to determine how students understand and carry out the process of abstracting a motif.
