Abstract
Literaturo smo iskali prek iskalnikov Google Scholar, PubMed, DiKUL in prek podatkovnih zbirk ScienceDirect, ResearchGate, Elsevier in Cochrane. Iskanje je potekalo s ključnimi besedami »old people«, »seniors«, »elderly«, »benefits«, »dance«, »balance«, »occupational therapy«, »dance movement therapy«, »leisure time«. V končno analizo je bilo vključenih 16 člankov v angleškem in portugalskem jeziku. Rezultati: Plesno-gibalne aktivnosti so se izkazale za učinkovite pri ohranjanju in izboljšanju procesnih in gibalnih spretnosti položajne kontrole, kar posledično privede do zmanjšanja tveganja za padce in višje kakovosti življenja. Plesnogibalne aktivnosti imajo zelo pozitiven doprinos na stare ljudi z demenco, Parkinsonovo boleznijo in s težavami pri procesnih in gibalnih spretnostih. Pri starih ljudeh so se z uvedbo plesno-gibalnih aktivnosti izboljšali procesi čustvene, procesne, fizične in socialne integracije. Razprava in zaključek: Plesno-gibalne aktivnosti pomembno prispevajo k samostojnosti izvedbe vsakodnevnih opravil starih ljudi. Pomemben doprinos imajo na izboljšanje stanja depresije, anksioznosti, Parkinsonove bolezni in demence. Skozi plesnogibalne aktivnosti delovni terapevt lažje pristopi do bolj zadržanih starih ljudi, saj glasba in ples kot delovnoterapevtska medija v teh aktivnostih omogočita sproščujoče vzdušje in neposredno sproščenost starih ljudi.
