Slovene legal terminology represents the conceptual world of law as it is understood and used by the legal profession. Slovene legal texts are the result of the centuries-long development of the profession, which was and is closely connected with people, but the addressees of these texts always find them too incomprehensible. In the discussion, there is an emphasis on the relationship between the terminology and the professional language, which may enable better comprehension of the text, but does not facilitate understanding of all the terminology, which presupposes the receiver's knowledge of the conceptual system.
