Abstract
V sodobnem času se trg dela hitro spreminja. Zaradi različnih potreb med delodajalci in delavci spremljamo velik porast atipičnih oblik dela.

Title:Precariousness of student work
Abstract:
In modern times, the labor market is changing rapidly. Due to different needs between employers and workers, we are experiencing a large increase in precarious work. This became a central contemporary concern within politics, the media and researchers as early as the 1970s. Uncertain or precarious work is a major challenge that has many global consequences. Precarious work is defined as uncertain mainly due to insecurity of income and employment, which can especially among young people easily limit long-term life planning. Many of them may find themselves in very precarious situations at a time when they would traditionally think of starting a family. Workers in atypical forms of employment often accept poor working conditions and low wages. In the Republic of Slovenia, one of the forms of atypical work is student work. Student work is occasional or temporary work performed by a student, high school student or other eligible person on the basis of a work referral. This type of work is intended to acquaint young people with the labor market and to acquire work habits, and should be performed during their studies, in order to ensure the student's income. However, ignorance of the legal basis can lead to abuse, as younger employees are more vulnerable in the labor market. In my thesis I focus mainly on student work as a form of atypical work. I primarily focus on identifying elements of precariousness that occur in student work. The findings of the analysis show that despite the advantages of this form of work, there are elements of precariousness that can lead to violations of the students rights. It is therefore necessary to educate young people in the field of legal regulation of student work and to pay attention to raising awareness of the rights and duties of students in the workplace.
