In my diploma thesis Process of Admission of Children to Kindergarten During the COVID-19 Prevention Measures, I defined the right of parents to gradually introduce children to kindergarten, identified different ways and the importance of gradual admission in the theoretical part of the legal-formal point of view. I presented the new disease COVID-19, hygiene recommendations for kindergartens for preventing the spread of COVID-19, made by the National Institute of Public Health and guidelines for the process of admission of children into kindergartens by the Institute of Education of the Republic of Slovenia.
In the empirical part of the thesis, I carried out a survey questionnaire, which was completed by parents of children who were admitted to kindergarten in between the first and the second COVID-19 epidemics. I was interested in whether parents were aware of the right to gradually introduce children, despite the current situation, how the gradual admission of children into kindergarten took place at the time of COVID-19 prevention measures and what hygiene measures parents had to take at the time of the process of admission to kindergarten to prevent the spread of COVID-19 disease.
