The diploma thesis shows the whole process of development and production of an underwear set consisting of an undershirt and panties. All qualitative, useful and aesthetic requirements were taken into consideration during the design process. In the development of underwear, the choice of suitable material, comfort and final care of the products are particularly important. Due to their good elastic properties, knitted fabrics of different material compositions are most often used. The theoretical part also describes the importance of technological preparation of production, which ensures the optimal course of the production process, as well as the use of CAD/CAM systems in the clothing industry, which have significantly improved and accelerated the whole process of planning and manufacturing a new product. In the experimental part, prototypes of underwear were designed and manufactured. Based on a fashion sketch, basic and auxiliary materials were selected, physical and mechanical properties were tested, and a bill of materials was prepared. The technical sketch and the cuts were made with Lectra software; the technical sketch was made with Kaledo Style program and the cuts were developed with Modaris program and printed on a Lectra plotter (Alys 30+ model). During the production of the undershirt and panties, a technological plan of the sewing operations was prepared. After the fitting, the necessary corrections were made to the cut pieces, followed by the production of the final prototypes of the set, the production of standards of the final dimensions and the evaluation of both products on the manikin.
