The thesis consists of the development of an automatic filter cleaning system attached to the ventilation system in front of the heat exchanger. Suitable filters with sufficient filtration quality were selected. A system for washing the dirt out of the filters with water jet was designed. The washing power of the water jets is calculated after which the appropriate water flow rate and nozzle type are selected. The pressure drop in the flexible pipe supplying water to the collector on which the nozzles are, was also calculated and numerically simulated. The horizontal and vertical displacement of the system and the housing of the system, attached to the heat exchanger were designed as well.
