Abstract
Diplomska naloga obravnava problem naprav za katapultiranje in ujemanje lahkega brezpilotnega letala ScanEagle in predstavi koncept katapultno-pristajalne naprave, ki služi kot rešitev. Naloga obsega pregled obstoječega sistema in izpostavitev slabosti uporabe dveh naprav ter probleme mehanizma za ujemanje. Nato sledi pregled in analiza vseh najbolj uporabljenih katapultnih sistemov in mehanizmov za ujem letal. Vsak katapultni sistem je podprt z matematično in fizikalno razlago in z izpeljanimi enačbami. Na podlagi primerjave sistemov je izbran vzmetni sistem, ki je glede na naše parametre najbolj učinkovit mehanizem, saj z njim lahko letalo tako izstreljujemo, kot tudi ujemamo.

Title:Review and analysis of catapult launcher systems and design of a launcher-retrieval concept based on the example of the ScanEagle drone
Abstract:
The thesis adresses the problem of devices for catapulting and capturing of the light unmanned areal vehicle ScanEagle and proposes the concept of a launcher-retrieval device that serves as a solution. The thesis encompasses the review of the existing system and exposes the disadvantages of using two separate devices and the problems of the retrieval mechanism. The review and analysis of all most commonly used catapulting systems and mechanisms for retrieval of aircraft follows. Every catapult system is supported with mathematical and physical explanations and derived equations. Based on the comparison of systems, the spring system is chosen as it is, according to our parameters, the most effective mechanism, since we can launch and retrieve aircraft with it.
