Abstract
Rezultati mehanskih analiz so ob upoštevanju različnih lupinskih modelov primerjani z rezultati, izračunanimi na osnovi volumskega modela.

Title:Numerical modeling and mechanical analysis of welded joints
Abstract:
This thesis presents the treatment of various techniques of numerical weld modelling and the analysis of their mechanical state, based on the finite element method (FEM). Firstly, some of the stress assesment methods are presented and then the thesis focuses on numerical modelling techniques based on the finite element method. A mechanical analysis follows of the crusiform join, on which both the hot spot stress approach and different numerical modelling techniques were applied. In addition, various welded joints in the liquified petroleum gas tank segment are discussed. Special emphasis is placed on the techniques of numerical modeling of welds. Finally, there is a comparison of the results of mechanical analysis, taking into account different shell models with the results calculated on the basis of the volume model.

Keywords:hot spot method, finite element method, mechanical analysis, numerical weld modelling techniques, stress concentration, welds
