Abstract
Jeklo Protac 550 odlikujejo specifične mehanske lastnosti, ki zagotavljajo odlično odpornost proti penetraciji izstrelkov pri relativno majhnih debelinah jeklene pločevine. V diplomski nalogi smo izmerili toplotne lastnosti jekla Protac 550 v dobavljenem stanju, po kaljenju v vodi in po popuščanju. Jeklu smo določili specifično toploto in izmerili toplotno ter temperaturno prevodnost. Eksperimentalni del je bil opravljen z metodo tranzientnega planarnega toplotnega vira na napravi TPS Hot Disk 2200, proizvajalca Hot disk AB, po standardu ISO 22007-2, pri sobnih pogojih. Opravili smo tudi meritev trdote vzorcev po vsaki fazi toplotne obdelave. Rezultati so pokazali, da ima jeklo Protac 550 med izbranimi jekli za protibalistično zaščito najvišjo toplotno in temperaturno prevodnost. Najvišje vrednosti toplotnih lastnosti jeklo doseže po popuščanju. V delu so opisane tudi definicije toplotnih lastnosti, karakteristike protibalističnih jekel in standardne metode toplotne obdelave.

Title:Thermal properties of armour steel PROTAC 550
Abstract:
Steel Protac 550 is characterized by high quality mechanical properties and resistance to bullet impact even at relatively small thickness. For this thesis, we measured the thermal properties of Protac 550 steel in the as-received condition, after water quenching, and after tempering. We specified the specific heat of the steel and measured its thermal conductivity and diffusivity. The experimental part of the study was carried out under ambient conditions on the apparatus TPS Hot Disk 2200 (manufactured by Hot Disk AB) using the transient plane source method (TPS) standardized in ISO 22007-2. In addition, we measured the hardness of the samples after each stage of the hardening process. The results showed that Protac 550 has the highest thermal conductivity and diffusivity among the selected ballistic protection steels. Its maximum level of thermal properties is achieved after the tempering stage of the hardening process. The paper also contains definitions of thermal properties, characteristics of ballistic protection steels and standard methods thermal properties measurements.
